Another Area Full Of Seismic Activity..
The Septentrional-Orient fault zone (SOFZ) is a system of coaxial left lateral-moving strike slip faults which runs along the northern side of the island of Hispaniola where the Dominican Republic and Haiti are located. The SOFZ shares approximately half of the relative motion between the North American and Caribbean tectonic plates with the Enriquillo-Plantain Garden fault zone which runs along the southern side of Hispaniola. Both faults merge into the Cayman Trench to the west. Some researchers believe that the Enriquillo-Plantain Garden fault zone and the SOFZ bound a microplate, dubbed the Gonâve Microplate, a 190,000 km2 (73,000 sq mi) area of the northern Caribbean Plate that is in the process of shearing off the Caribbean Plate and accreting to the North America Plate.
A major tremor on this fault destroyed the city of Cap-Haïtien and other cities in the northern part of Haiti and the Dominican Republic on 7 May 1842.
An Area Full Of Seismic Activity is The Puerto Rico Trench.
The Puerto Rico Trench is an oceanic trench located on the boundary between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The trench is associated with a complex transition between the subduction zone to the south along the Lesser Antilles island arc and the major transform fault zone or plate boundary that extends west between Cuba and Hispaniola through the Cayman Trench to the coast of Central America. Scientific studies have concluded that an earthquake occurring along this fault zone could generate a significant tsunami.
The island of Puerto Rico lies immediately to the south of the fault zone and the trench. The trench is 800 kilometres (500 mi) long and has a maximum depth of 8,605 metres (28,232 ft) at Milwaukee Deep, which is the deepest point in the Atlantic Ocean.
Earth In The Future.
Question: Is this what will become of the Earth's surface? Answer: The surface of the Earth is broken up into several large plates that are slowly shifting. About 250 million years ago, the plates on which the present-day continents rest were positioned quite differently, so that all the landmasses were clustered together in one supercontinent now dubbed Pangea. About 250 million years from now, the plates are again projected to reposition themselves so that a single landmass dominates. Known As Pangea Ultima. At that time, the Atlantic Ocean will be just a distant memory, and whatever beings inhabit Earth will be able to walk from North America to Africa. Now Thats Food For Thought.

Heres a list of Sites That i Use During My Livecasts Which in my Opinion are Worth Looking Into:
Latest Earthquakes In The World
Edinburgh Earth Observatory
Humanitarian Early Warning Service
Animal Eathquake Project
Japan Meteorological Agency
Recent Earthquakes Monitor
This list makes Magnitude Strengths Easy To Follow.
Less than 2.0 Micro Micro earthquakes, not felt. ..About 8,000 per day
2.0–2.9 Minor Generally not felt, but recorded. About 1,000 per day
3.0–3.9 Often felt, but rarely causes damage. 49,000 per year (est.)
4.0–4.9 Light Noticeable shaking of indoor items, rattling noises. Significant damage unlikely. 6,200 per year (est.)
5.0–5.9 Moderate Can cause major damage to poorly constructed buildings over small regions. At most slight damage to well-designed buildings. 800 per year
6.0–6.9 Strong Can be destructive in areas up to about 160 kilometres (100 mi) across in populated areas. 120 per year
7.0–7.9 Major Can cause serious damage over larger areas. 18 per year
8.0–8.9 Great Can cause serious damage in areas several hundred kilometres across. 1 per year
9.0–9.9 Devastating in areas several thousand kilometres across.
1 per 20 years
10.0+ Massive Never recorded, widespread devastation across very large areas; see below for equivalent seismic energy yield.
Extremely rare (Unknown)
